Hybrid Drive

Hybrid Drive

A hybrid drive system combines two drive principles, such as a TSI unit and an electric motor. The hybrid concept can help to improve fuel consumption and reduce pollutant emissions, especially in city traffic.

The hybrid technology comprises two different types of drive system: the full hybrid and the plug-in hybrid.

The full hybrid generates its own power by acting as a generator during braking and charging the high-voltage battery.

The plug-in hybrid works in the same way, but with one difference: it allows the electric motor’s battery to be charged using an external power source.
