While taking up only minimal space, the up! family offers maximum interior space, proven Volkswagen quality – and innovations that help protect our environment on every model. Key features of this new small car class from Volkswagen include especially low-consumption powertrain technologies.

In the up!* , Volkswagen has launched a new generation of three-cylinder petrol engines. The average consumption of the entry-level up!** is 4.5 l/100 km or only 4.1 1/100km in the version with BlueMotion Technology***. Thanks to its lower consumption, the up! BMT stays under the emission threshold of 100g CO2 /km. The eco-up!**** and e-up***** also break new ground with natural gas and all-electric powertrains. These lightweight models are all especially economical in terms of energy consumption.

The up! is also sustainable in many other respects, because from as early as the development stage of each model, Volkswagen has taken care to make the entire life cycle as environmentally compatible as possible. In design, materials, production, consumption, energy supply and many other aspects, the development team always kept a close eye on the environmental properties of the up!.
